- Offa’s Dyke
Path - built by Offa, King of Mercia from 757 to 796
A.D, runs from Sedbury, near Chepstow to Prestatyn and offers extensive
opportunity for walking, photography, bird watching and enjoying the
view.
- Betws
y Coed - a picturesque village with a wealth of outdoor activities,
including white water rafting, climbing and walking; excellent shopping
and local crafts
- St Asaph - the smallest ancient Cathedral town in Britain, built on
the banks of the River Elwy.
- Bodelwyddan Castle - an historic house and museum, has summer concerts
and many other events
- Chester- with a wealth of history, horse racing and great shopping
- Llyn Brenig - a beautiful lake, which you can walk around, or go mountain biking or sail on
- Llandudno - a sea front resort with a wide range of shops, a variety
of theatres and a dry ski slope.
- Denbigh - local market town with a small range of shops but a large amount
of local history. It has its own castle and museum.
- Denbigh
and Flintshire Show - held annually, next show 21st August 2008, has
wide range of animals on display, show jumping events, craft stalls,
machinery, food stalls, to mention but a few
- Ruthin - has a castle, a range of shops and a town gaol with an interesting
history
- Llangollen - famous for the Eisteddfod, the steam railway and excellent
local fishing.
